The one with Nicka K New York Color Holiday Nail Collection!

One of the new companies I came into contact with at Cosmoprof this year was Nicka K New York Color. I had the best time at their booth! I tried one of their polishes previously, and I loved it! Today, I have four others for you today - the Holiday Nail Color Collection! And just in time, too...there is a Back to School special on the Nicka K website right now, offering polishes for $3.99!

First up is my favorite of the four I have - Red Hot! It's a gorgeous bright red creme. Opaque in two coats! I had no issues with it at all. Application was smooth and effortless.

Next up is the glittery goodness of Sparkly Sand! This packed (and I mean packed!) gold glitter is one coat to full coverage. Yes, one coat. I couldn't believe how well it covered in one coat! It's intensely sparkly.

And what's next? I lovely silver shimmer, Silver Star! It's almost metallic, I think, but it doesn't quite lean all the way. I had a little bit of an issue with application on this one, but I think it was operator error. I ended up swiping my first coat on a bit thick, so it took a little extra effort. I think if my first coat wasn't so thick, this polish would have been absolutely fine.

And lastly, the green shimmer of Velvet Green! I had a little trouble applying this polish. On the first coat I had mild bald patches, and they never seemed to even themselves out. I dunno. I felt like, after two coats, I could see see VNL...not from being sheer, but from bald spots. I waited a while between coats because I was afraid of it. But again, like the silver polish, it could have been operator error :)

So what do you think? Do you have a favorite? Like I mentioned, my favorite is the red! One thing I will mention. The lids of these polishes are very sleek and slick. Like, to the point that I had to have my husband open them for me! Remember...there is a Back to School special on the Nicka K website right now, offering polishes for $3.99!
