LA Colors eye shadow palette in Sunflower swatches+review

As I'm learning (all the time) about makeup and eyeshadows and shading and midtones and whatnot, I'm enjoying using this blog to showcase my attempts. No one's been mean to me so far! hah Does that mean no one's seeing my attempts, or no one really cares that they suck? :)

Anyway, a while back, on Copious, I purchased three LA Colors eyeshadow trios...and I'm in love with them! I'm such a fan of them because they are nicely pigmented, are super cute and come in great trios - like this one, Sunflower, which goes without saying is my favorite! It's full of brown and bronze-y goodness, which if you remember is like all I'd ever worn before my birthday last week! :)

I have to say how much I love this packaging! The flowers are so neat! The brushes are pretty standard, and I haven't had a problem with using the original brushes yet. That's my biggest complaint with eyeshadows, really. They come with such sucky brushes! I did get a small brush set at Cosmoprof, and I really need to get it out and start working with it :)

Isn't that bronze color just stunning? I absolutely LOVE it. The darker color is ok, but I've found that in darker colors, my eyes just look strange. Like I'm trying to cover up a black eye. I have to use them sparingly. So what did I do with this palette?

I'm really working on the crease...trying to do things there to make a difference. I'm not quite there yet. But I am having fun experimenting! Do you guys have any of these palettes? What are your thoughts?

**DISCLAIMER** I was not paid for this review by anyone. I either purchased these products myself or were given gifts from friends . I am not a professional nail tech or make-up artist, nor do I want to be. I'm just someone who enjoys polishing my own nails and experimenting with make-up! :)
