LA Colors eyeshadow palette in Water Lily swatches+review

As some of you know, my birthday was last week, and I went all out with my makeup! haha Well, not really...but I did wear colors on my eyes I had never worn before - pink and blue. That's right, I had never used pink or blue eyeshadow before my birthday last week. And I'm really no spring chicken. So yeah, it was a big day for me. No one else really noticed (altho after the fact people have commented hah!), but I guess I felt different!

I used a three-shadow palette from LA Colors called Water Lily. I picked this trio up (along with two other trios) from Copious a while back. I am LOVING how pigmented and thick these eyeshadows are. It doesn't take much to get full color on your eyes. The presentation is SO CUTE!! I love the flowers crafted into the shadow.

As I mentioned, these shadows are pretty well pigmented. I really don't have any expensive brands to compare these to, but I must say, I enjoy these very very much. I'm not an expensive makeup gal. I never really have been. I have seen these same palettes at Family Dollar (and maybe Dollar General) and they are only $1. If you ask me, that is a heck of a deal! They are good quality for the price!

So, here goes. I'm going to show you what I did with this palette. I'm still learning. I really need to look into primers, too. I have one...I just need to get to using it! I've watched a few youtube videos and looked at a couple of different tutorials, so hopefully, as time goes on, my technique will get better! haha

It's not all the great hahaha But it's better than before - and new colors! I'm old, but I feel like such a newbie in the makeup department. I never really cared about eyeshadow or lipstick before. I always just used some eyeliner and a swipe of mascara. I guess you can teach an old dog new tricks?

**DISCLAIMER** I was not paid for this review by anyone. I either purchased these products myself or were given gifts from friends . I am not a professional nail tech or make-up artist, nor do I want to be. I'm just someone who enjoys polishing my own nails and experimenting with make-up! :)
