Nail art with Pure Ice polishes!

As most of you know, I'm not good with nail art. I just never been. Stamping sometimes sort of works it it's just a single thing to stamp, but then it could be crooked...stickers mostly work, and something manis with striping take look good...but for this one I tried a mani with Scotch tape. I just cut out pieces of tape and put them on my nails kind of like explosions haha They look ok, but...

The blue base is called Party Hard, a gorgeous deep blue creme. It went on smoothly in one coat! Same with the red base, a vampy red called Kissing Cupid. Both have a great formula. I wore just the base for a whoke day before I tried a tape mani. The blue glitter is called Bring on the Joy, and the red glitter is Your Place or Mine.

I put the tape on in weird starburst-type patterns, and then I painted over the open area and up on to the tape. I removed the tape, gently, but fairly quickly after painting. Once the glitter dried, I added an outline of white with an LA Color stiper polish. I think it looks neat! :)

Pure Ice is one of my favorite polish brands. Great polishes for a great price! You can find them at Walmart for $1.97. I have a lot of them to showcase coming up in 2013! And btw, HAPPY NEW YEAR! :) Are you guys ready for my 2-yr blogaversary?
