NYX High Voltage Lipstick in Rock Star and Hollywood

Another new NYX lip product? You know I'm on it! I'm finally back in the blogging groove, and here's hoping I can keep up with all the blog stuff I've got in my head! I've messed with things a little around here (new header, darker colors and a rotating thingy in my sidebar), and I'm ready to go! So let's kick it into gear with these NYX High Voltage lipsticks in Rock Star and Hollywood, shall we?

Let me start by saying that the formula and consistency of these lipsticks is unlike anything I've ever tried. They are almost - and this is going to sound super weird - like a gloss. But they are lipstick. When I was applying them, it was almost like they were light and fluid like a gloss, but the finished product looks like a lipstick. I wish I could explain it better hah! And with that, came a little bit of an application problem. Liner will be a must with these lippies. My lips kind of look.... uneven. :)

Rock Star is a red lippie with hints of pink. I think of the two of these, I like this one just a tad better. It is more of a "me color."

Hollywood pulls much more blue that Rock Star, and it is a deeper red. It's a beautiful shade, and I do like it. I'm just not sure how much I would actually wear it compared to Rock Star.

Do you have any of these new HIgh Voltage lipsticks? Do you have a favorite? You can purchase it from NYX's website or wherever NYX cosmetics are sold. I find mine at CVS and Ulta.

**DISCLAIMER** I was not paid for this review by anyone. I either purchased these products myself or were them given as gifts. Afilliate inks contained in this post are for Amazon.
