Since I've found the perfect milky base, I am more comfortable layering jelly-based glitters like Shimmer Polish Mary. The milky base I've found is Pearl Up by Sally Hansen - one coat under glitter bombs like this, and I'm good to go! I did an easy 3 coats of Mary over one thin coat of Pearl Up. Above is a photo in direct sunlight; and the two photos below are outdoors in shade and indoors with natural light.


The jelly base is a red-toned magenta, and it's packed with black and silver glitters. The formula on this one is really good; not goopy or thick at all. It blended on the nail pretty well with three thin coats :)
