My first Uppercase Box!

I'm going to admit something here. I'm a 40-year-old woman, and I love YA books. The more supernatural, the better, actually haha! But when I got a job, I decided I needed a treat - and I decided to get the Uppercase Box! Uppercase is a monthly subscription box for YA lovers - AND THAT'S ME! I have to show you my first "box." It's super cool!

I have received 2 of these boxes now, and I suck for only getting the first one up now. I WILL do the second box soon - hopefully before my next one arrives! In this box was the book Windfall by Jennifer E. Smith. I had never heard of this book before, so I was excited to check it out!
Alice doesn’t believe in luck—at least, not the good kind. But she does believe in love, and for some time now, she’s been pining for her best friend, Teddy. On his eighteenth birthday—just when it seems they might be on the brink of something—she buys him a lottery ticket on a lark. To their astonishment, he wins $140 million, and in an instant, everything changes.
At first, it seems like a dream come true, especially since the two of them are no strangers to misfortune. As a kid, Alice won the worst kind of lottery possible when her parents died just over a year apart from each other. And Teddy’s father abandoned his family not long after that, leaving them to grapple with his gambling debts. Through it all, Teddy and Alice have leaned on each other. But now, as they negotiate the ripple effects of Teddy’s newfound wealth, a gulf opens between them. And soon, the money starts to feel like more of a curse than a windfall.
As they try to find their way back to each other, Alice learns more about herself than she ever could have imagined . . . and about the unexpected ways in which luck and love sometimes intersect.
Sounds interesting, huh? It's definitely on my to-read list now! Also included in my box (did I mention it actually comes in a cool sack? You can see it under the stuff below) were cool book earrings and patches. Makes me nostalgic for a jean jacket for those patches haha There was a fake lottery ticket included, too :)

Here's some images of just the book. Judging it strictly on it's cover, I think it's really cool! Could it be a candidate for an Inspired by a Book Mani? Maybe! I love the colors and the confetti look. So, you never know. My copy is also signed, too! How fun is that?

Each shipment comes with this bookmark type thing. I went to the page and put in the code, but I wasn't exactly sure what it was supposed to be haha On the right is the bag everything comes in. It's a cute little drawstring bag.

Here's my lottery ticket - I didn't win the signed first edition and other books. But that's okay - I got a signed copy already!

What do you guys think? Would this be a good thing for you? Do you like YA? haha It really isn't for everyone. But if you would like to get this monthly box, you can join now! There are 2 different plans you can get - The Expert Plan for $23 per month and the Book Exclusive Plan for $13.99 per month. (Shipping isn't included). The Expert Plan includes all the fun little trinkets, and the Book Exclusive Plan doesn't.
