The one with Fail Art Thursday - striping tape mani with Layla and China Glaze!

Well, this really isn't a fail art. My only fail is lighting for the photos! haha We'd been through a few days with crappy, cloudy weather, and I had this awesome mani...so today's fail isn't the art, it's the lighting! I used a base of Layla Mermaid Spell, which is an eye-popping icy blue holo. I decided to use it as the base for a striping tape mani that would kind of end up looking like laser lights. I got the striping tape from Born Pretty Store.
I love working with this striping tape!!! My only problem is user error - I forget which order I put the tape down haha Sometimes it gets touchy and I havta retrace my steps :) For the "topper" I used China Glaze Hanging in the Balance, one of my new favorite blues!

Do you like striping tape? Do you use it for manis like this or do you have a different use? I have seen people who use it as part of the mani, and not just the prep...so I'm wondering how do you wear it?
