Younique Mineral Touch Pressed Powder

Younique Mineral Touch Pressed Powder

I had a lot of pre-conceived notions about powder (and foundation) from my teenage years. I didn't understand that they were there to enhance and even out your features. I thought they were just supposed to give your skin more color and not be shiny haha! I didn't know they could be worn independently from each other, either. I thought they were a matching set - but I've got this Younique Mineral Touch Pressed Powder, and I wear it on its own a lot... just like I wear the BB Cream alone.

Let me say upfront here that I am not a Younique Presenter. I don't sell, I'm just a consumer. So what I say about the product isn't designed to make me money. It's just to make you aware of the product :) The powder comes in a nice, sleek black case. Inside there is, what I call, a "powder pad." haha I know that's silly, but it makes me giggle for some reason. A clear plastic overlay is between the pad and the actual powder.

As you can see, my shade is Velour. It's one of the lighter ones. We chose this for me based on my BB Cream shade. I will say this: I didn't realize how red my cheeks sometimes get. The first time I used this powder, I thought it was way too light for me. Come to find out, I am just that light. My cheeks were just red. I tend to have allergic reactions to products with Citric Acid, so it could be I have mini reactions that don't affect me much other than turning my cheeks red. But look at how nice and even and smooth that powder is! Well, I've already dropped and broken mine, so it's in pieces now. I'm going to have to re-press it soon. I've just not had the time to sit down and do it haha

My skin isn't all that much in need of coverage. I do have some large pores across my nose and upper cheeks, and they make me self conscious. This powder does a very nice job of helping with that. It evens out my skin and keeps it from getting that shiny, oily look by the afternoon. Like I said before, I can wear this alone, and it still looks great. I think this year I might show my face on this blog a little more, show some makeup looks and every day faces. It's something I've been thinking about, and after a 50lb weight loss, I do feel a lot more comfortable showing my face...

There are 13 shades to choose from in this powder. Younique is a direct sales company, and I know several people who sell the product. Odds are, you guys know people who sell it, too! I wear the BB Cream pretty much as a staple, and I do enjoy the primer too. But my favorite product is the Bon Bons lip balm!
