The one where I inadvertently participate in "On Wednesdays We Wear Pink"

The other night I got a wild hair. I painted my nails pink. Yes, I realize me with pink polish is a sign of the coming apocalypse. OH NO. Did I just assure that crazy guy is right? Is the Rapture happening this weekend?

At any rate, there's this thing on Wednesdays. It apparently stems from the movie Mean Girls? I've never seen it so I had no idea. "On Wednesdays We Wear Pink" is like a huge deal in the polish blog world - and I had no desire to ever participate ... but thanks to my son having a Little League game last night (He had a GREAT hit and his team won 10-0!!) I was way too tired to repaint last night. So here it is. My first and only Pink Wednesday post...

I bought this OPI color, Strawberry Margarita, from a friend who is a nail tech. She was having a yard sale and clearing out some of her polishes. She knows I'm a polish fanatic, so she let me come early and sift thru. I bought this polish because I thought it would be good for stamping. I've yet to prove that, but I will keep trying :)

Base is China Glaze Strong Adhesion, two coats of Strawberry Margarita and a top coat of Poshe - the MOST FOWL SMELLING TOP COAT EVER. Seriously kids. It made my eyes water. I had to use it quickly so I could close the bottle back up. Application of the polish was awesome. I could have gotten away with using one coat, but I bumped my thumb on something and did a second coat to fix it.
Natural light, no sun. Its been gloomy and cloudy and nasty out lately, so I haven't been able to get really good pics. This one is decent. The natural light, however, makes the polish look more pale than it really is. Believe it or not, the flash photos below are a lot closer to the actual color. It's actually quite the bubblegum pink.
SO! Yes. If I get another wild hair, I may compare this color with Wet n Wild Fast Dry How I Met Your Magenta. But don't count on it any time soon.

DON'T FORGET MY GIVEAWAY! OPEN UNTIL THE 20TH!

**DISCLAIMER**  I was not paid for this review by anyone. I either purchased these polishes myself or were given gifts as friends because I could not find the particular shade I wanted myself.  I am not a professional nail tech, nor do I want to be. I'm just someone who enjoys polishing my own nails :)
