Beautiful, glittery reds! I love them...well, reds in general. I thought these two lovely ladies, Zoya Jade and China Glaze Ruby Pumps, reminded me of each other...but beyond them both being a sparkly red, they don't have much in common.
Yes, Jade is not as sparkle-packed as Ruby Pumps. side-by-side that's easier to see. Let's start with the flash photo...
Jade is on my pointer and ring finger, and Ruby Pumps is on my middle and pinky finger. You can see Jade is more red, while, comparatively, Ruby Pumps almost looks purple lol It's just a deeper red. I used two coats of both polishes for this comparison, btw.
In the lightbox, it's even more obvious in the pigment difference. Both are sparkly, but Ruby Pumps wins in this case with sparkle.
So, in short, they aren't alike at all on the nail. As for formula, the first coat of each polish was pretty much pink...but then Ruby Pumps went full-on red with a second coat. The formula of Ruby Pumps is much thicker...at times, Jade kind of looked watery.
**DISCLAIMER** I was not paid for this review by anyone. I either purchased these polishes myself or were given gifts as friends because I could not find the particular shade I wanted myself. I am not a professional nail tech, nor do I want to be. I'm just someone who enjoys polishing my own nails :)
