The one with OPI My Auntie Drinks Chianti!

Hello all! Happy Monday? hahaha Not really. We overslept a little this morning, so it was hectic to get the kid off to school this morning. *yawn* I have to get up waaaaaay early in the morning, and I'm not looking forward to it!

Today's nails are topped with an old, old OPI polish, a light grapey purple called My Auntie Drinks Chianti. It's from the Italian collection, which released in Spring 2001. It's a black label that I got from my friend Stacie when she decided to sell some polishes from her shop. She threw this one is an a freebie because she said it was too thick. It's nowhere near thick! :) But there are some interesting things about this polish...
The above two photos were taken before top coat - as you can see, this polish dried semi-matte! It looked really cool :) But I knew there was no way I could leave it without top coat. For one thing, I didn't know what the polish would do being so old haha And using top coat added something else cool!

There's a very subtle shimmer that came out with the top coat! It's so pretty :) I'm glad Stacie decided this polish was worth salvaging enough to mention it to me - and I'm glad I snapped it up!

**DISCLAIMER**  I was not paid for this review by anyone. I either purchased these polishes myself or were given gifts as friends because I could not find the particular shade I wanted myself.  I am not a professional nail tech, nor do I want to be. I'm just someone who enjoys polishing my own nails :)
