Good morning! Happy first day of March. Where is the year going? It seems like it's going by so fast! Today, for Fail Art Thursday, I decided to use my new China Glaze Capitol Colours polishes and show you how I plan to do my nails when I go see the Hunger Games. I decided to do a tape mani...
What I did was taking a strip of tape and used a pair of scissors to cut a flame pattern. I placed the tape on my nails and then painted the tips. The colors I used?
Riveting and
Electrify! I had trouble lifting the tape off. I will definitely have to practice that. You can see on my pointer finger, some of the tape was left behind; and on my ring finger, some of the polish and top coat came up with the tape.
Here are shots of each individual finger...

I got the idea from
this tutorial from Chloe's Nails. My husband says the colors I used aren't contrasting enough so it doesn't show as much. Maybe he's right; but these colors are symbolic of stuff in the movie! Have you ever tried a tape mani?
**DISCLAIMER** I was not paid for this review by anyone. I either purchased these polishes myself or were given gifts as friends because I could not find the particular shade I wanted myself. I am not a professional nail tech, nor do I want to be. I'm just someone who enjoys polishing my own nails :)
