The one with Fail Art Thursday - stamping and sponging with China Glaze

Let me start out this post with a stamping venture that finally worked out! I used a plate from the Salon Express set I have. It's a dragonfly :) My base color is China Glaze Prey Tell, and I used China Glaze Desert Sun for the stamp.

Oh my oh my. After yesterday's Fourth of July nail art fest, here's some, well, ugly nail art! hahah I did this really cool sponge mani last week, and I've yet to replicate it! Must have been beginner's luck! Here is my attempt with a few of the China Glaze summer neons - Surfin' for Boys, Under the Boardwalk and Love's a Beach.
YUCK! hahah It looks like a furry, blurry mess! The colors were to close in hue, methinks. UGH! I thought I would top it with some glitter, so on went China Glaze Techno...
That's really no better! bahahahahah So let's move on to a sponge mani that actually looks decent, shall we? I tried some sponging with the four colors I have of the On Safari collection - Desert Sun, Prey Tell, Exotic Encounters and Adventure Red-y.
I think this one turned out ok! Sponging is one of my new loves. I attempt it with everything now haha I'm not so much into gradients (because I can't make it work mostly), but sponging is fun! Do y'all like sponging? What are your fave sponging combos?
