Milani COLORStatement lipsticks oranges and reds - picture heavy

This will be one of my most pic heavy posts ever. I had so much fun with these Milani lipsticks! They are super pigmented, bright and fun! Previously, I was very limited in my lipstick colors (mostly I wore peaches) but since opening my blog up to other beauty and makeup items, I've come to appreciate a good orange or red lipstick - and that's exactly what I got from Milani!

I have seven of these gorgeous babies to show you. They are a mix of cream, pearl, vinyl, matte and metallic finishes. A lot of the reds are super close in color, but what makes them different is the finish. All seven of these babies slid on super easy and built up wonderfully. Believe me when I say this cut is totally necessary because there are 20+ photos!

I was really shocked when these lovely lipsticks showed up on my doorstep. They came in the cutest packaging, too - the makeup bag is lip-shaped!!! I will definitely get use out of this. I'm always in need of varying sizes of makeup bags. It all depend son where we go.

But let's get down to the lipsticks, shall we? Here is a picture of the bottom of each tube. These pictures are not meant to be color accurate; they are to show you the names and numbers of each color. Some of the I had a heck of a time getting the text to show up! I will post in numerical order rather than alphabetical.

So on to the first color! Sweet Nectar. This is my favorite of all seven of these lipsticks. I'm a sucker for orange anything, so you know how much I love this one! Sweet Nectar is an orange cream. It's very in-your-face and bright - I guess it could also be neon! Nevermind my crooked smile. It just looks that way because the photo was taken from a side angle instead of head-on. I have a LOT of "outtakes" from this photo shoot...maybe I'll do a whole post with funny lip poses :)

Orange-gina had a pearl-esque finish and is super shimmmery. It's a deeper, more burnt orange color than Sweet Nectar. It's definitely more subtle :)

My favorite of the reds is High Voltage, which is to me the more satin-y cherry red. It's classified as a vinyl finish. I think this is a color that could look great on every skintone.

The next red to showcase is Red Label, a creamy red that is more shiny than High Voltage. It leans more blue-ish, as well.

Cherry Crave, I think, leans even more blue and could be considered on its way to maroon territory. It's listed as a metallic, and it does have distinctly more shine than the other colors.

Best Red is matte red, which means it has a snap of a powder-y look, but it still feels soft and creamy on the lips.

And last, but certainly not least, is Ruby Valentine, another red vinyl. This one is a much deeper red than High Voltage, the other vinyl in this collection.

All done!!! What do you guys think? Are these hits or misses for you? They are all a hit with me. I will definitely be wearing all of these multiple times! They are available at CVS, Target, Walgreens, WalMart and KMart, and wherever else Milani is sold :) You can also purchase them from Milani Cosmetics' website at $5.49 each.
