I've recently started working with Planet Beauty, and I'm super excited to show you guys the products they have recently provided me with for reviewing. I have the Mama Mio Moisturizing Shower Cream and the Super-rich Body Cream to show you :) I've used both of these products for two weeks now.
They both come in a tube with a flip-top and rest upside down. I found this a little problematic with the shower cream, as it oozed and slushed out all over the place if I wasn't careful. haha Once I started to remember I had to turn the tube upside down for a while before opening, it got a little better :)
The Shower Cream is slightly sweet-scented with a hint of aloe. I found it quite calming and smoothing after a long day. It lathers nicely and the scent lingers for a while after you step out of the shower, so it technically continues with a little aromatherapy!
The consistency is very thin, which I tend to like more in a soap-like product. I've found shower products that are too thick have trouble sticking with my bath puff to cover my entire body when I use them. The thinner, yet lathery, stuff usually last longer and works better :)
Moving right on to the body cream! It smells almost identical to the shower cream! It is a much thicker consistency than the shower cream, but that's a good thing for this product - lotions and creams need to be thicker...the thicker, the better :) I started using the body cream twice every night - once when I would sit down to watch TV and/ or read, and again right before going to bed. My hands were noticeably softer (and they continue to be as I am still using the product).
The only thing I've found is this: You can use too much at a time! If you try to use more than a little dab, your hands (and whatever else you rub the cream on) becomes quite slick and greasy feeling. So, basically, a little goes a long way! :) What's pictured below is the amount I use for my hands and arms (all the way up to my shoulders...both arms).
Have you guys tried these products? What are your thoughts? The shower cream is priced at $19, while the body cream is $26.
