Again on the "getting older" side of things, I managed to snag an Own Skin Health Firming Silk Concentrate from iFaboo. I mean, who doesn't think their skin can be firmer and more healthy? My skin leans toward oily, and although it's not a complete mess, I try to shy away from serums or liquids when dealing with my skin. I have always used lotions and creams. I decided to give it a try anyway.
It's free of all the bad stuff, like parabens and allergens...and it's even fragrance free, which pleased me the most. My main issue with most of the stuff I put on my face (read: lotions and creams) was that they have a scent. Almost always. So to find something to try that is fragrance-free? Yay! :)
This concentrate is also retinol-free. I don't know if maybe that was the reason why it was a more watered-down version of serums I've known in the past. It was a lot thinner than I was expecting, and it dried super fast. One time I didn't even get it on my face before it was dry on my hands hehe It's been tested by dermatologists and has been noted to not cause redness or irritation.
But what do all these things mean for the average woman?
They worked for me. Once I got past the super fast drying, anyway.
To use it, I just place a few drops in my hand and rub all over my face and neck. If I'm not going out for anything I just leave it well enough alone; but if I'm headed out, I'll do my normal makeup routine right over it. So far my skin has showed no signs of irritation, and I have had any more oiliness than normal.
I have noticed that my skin is tighter and more healthy looking. I think this is a very beneficial product for me :) I will continue to use it.
You can purchase this eye cream from several places like the Own website and Ulta. Price is right around $25, but at Ulta right now, they are on sale Buy One, Get One 50% off.
