Let's take a look at how the Zoya Summer PixieDusts compare to the JulieG Frosted Gumdrops collection, shall we? I noticed a lot of them are similar colors, but are any of them dupes? The Zoyas were sent to me by a PR representative, and I purchased the Frosted Gumdrops with my own money.
First, let's breakdown the price - The Zoyas are $9 each, while the JulieGs are $3.99. The formulas on both are about the same. I do like them both, but if forced to choose, I'd pick and choose different colors from each! Please excuse my cuticles...it had been a long, long day when I remembered I needed to get these comparisons ready...
Let's start with the blues...NO DUPES HERE. Not even close :) Liberty is the brighter of the three, and Rock Candy and Blueberry Fizz have way more bling to them.
And the pinks and purples? Crushed Candy has that blinginess to it, while Stevie is a bit more matte, and Miranda sparkles more.
And now we're getting down to the real nitty gritty - the bright oranges! Tangerine Dream is just ever so slightly a deeper shade of tangerine. So close, yet not dupes.
Can't say the same for the coraly red-oranges! They look like almost dead-on dupes to me! Destiny may have more of a textured look to it when all is said and done (and in this photo something white was reflecting in Sugar Rush which I didn't know about until picture taking was done), but pretty much - these two are interchangeable!
So there you have it! Comparisons of the bright textured polishes from Zoya and JulieG. What do you guys think? Any standout favorites?
