China Glaze Texture collection - Of Coarse, Unrefined and In The Rough swatches+review

**PR sample provided by company representative**

Texture, texture everywhere!! Everyone's got a texture polish coming out - but these from China Glaze were the first ones I laid eyes on - last year! I got to see this collection last July at Cosmoprof in Las Vegas, but we weren't allowed to talk about them! I have three from the collection to show you today :)

These texture polishes are a lot like the Milani texture line. They are less "sugar-like" and more "fuzzy sweater-like." Does that make sense? I have trouble with fuzzy sweater textures because they are a checks and a balances polish. You absolutely cannot use coats that are too thick - or else the texture won't dry. I had some issues with In The Rough in that regard. It just wouldn't work for me :(

Let's start with Of Coarse, a gorgeous bright blue! I love this color! I'm a sucker for blues anyway, so this one was right up my alley :) The trick with fuzzy sweater-like texture polish is you need thin coats that don't "goop up" around the edge of your nail. This polish was perfect in one coat, so no gooping! :) hehehe And an added bonus that it didn't stain! I just used one coat of a regular base coat and had absolutely no staining.

Unrefined is a sweet candy pink that is sure to catch the eye of those who love pink! While the color isn't one I typically wear, the formula is not that bad :) I was able to use one coat for this polish, just like the blue one. There is a spot here and there where the texture just didn't happen, but those spots are few and far between.

And now on to the brat of the family hahaha In The Rough. I had so much trouble with this polish :( The first coat was patchy and icky all over my nails, so I tried a second thin coat...and apparently that was too much because it just wouldn't dry. You can see in the photos the patches of what looks like just globs of polish :/

Overall, two out of three ain't bad. Of Coarse and Unrefined were good, but In The Rough wasn't. Bottom line if you like the Milani textures, you'll love these.
