I bought it week - Fourth of July nail art with Wet n Wild and Essence polishes!

So this week I'm going to be doing this thing where I only post products I've purchased with my own money. Why am I doing this? I'd started to notice a trend in what I was posting - and it was very heavy on the samples from companies. When I first started this blog 2 1/2 years ago, I was DETERMINED to do everything on my own, that I wasn't going to be one of those bloggers who looked like they are doing it for free product. Then I got my first press samples... I won't deny that press samples are awesome. But there came a point, for me, when I looked at my blog, and other blogs, and wondered what the motive is. If you're in it for the free stuff, it's not the right motivation - and that's how this was born.

So what's on tap for today? My Fourth of July nail art!! Last year, I did a post with a blue million nail art looks, but this year, it's just one. It's nothing special, but it is the form of nail art that I'm best at - DOTICURE!

For the base, I used Wet n Wild Root of All Evil, a limited edition Megalast polish from this past Fall. Now that I know so many people love it, I'm on the hunt for an available dupe! The dots are done in WnW Spoiled Correction Tape (the white) and Essence Fame Fatale (the red). I guess I've never done a dedicated post to Correction Tape. huh. Aaaaaanyway :) Here's the swatches of Root of All Evil all by its lonesome :)

Isn't it GORGEOUS!? I love this blue! The formula is great, and pictured is two coats. I'm still wearing these nails, btw and I've yet to have a chip - and I didn't even put a top coat on the dots. I've been wearing Root of All Evil for 3 days...

There are a few other bloggers participating in this challenge with me. I'll be posting lip, eyes and nails this week, but you guys should also check out these bloggers, too! They will some wonderful posts for you all week long!
