So I decided to take your back to Halloween today - well, really, it's ALWAYS a good time for Halloween-ish nail art around here. However, these glow-in-the-dark nails are just too good to be passed up.
This was my end result...with my husband's help with the laser pointer, of course. He loves playing with that laser pointer when I've got glow-in-the-dark polish on. For this look, I used two different glow-in-the-dark pumpkin polishes from Blue Cross that are at Rite Aid every year. I chose the orange one and the yellow one.
I used a makeup sponge and sort of sponged it on like a gradient. Using the orange with the yellow really mellowed the yellow. It usually looked like a highlighter! The thing I love about the orange is that it glows orange. Below it is charging up under the blacklight. As much as I love glow in the dark polish, I hate that it is so unforgiving in clean-up!
See all the places I missed in clean-up? hahah I should start doing my clean-up under blacklight :) The next photo is under the blacklight, with it held high, high above. You can see the colors really started to separate and show individually. The yellow glows green.
So what happens when the lights go completely out?
Love the glow! I wear glow in the dark polish a lot at any type of the year. My whole family loves it :) haha
**DISCLAIMER** I was not paid for this review by anyone. I either purchased these products myself or were given gifts from friend.
It's always the right time for Glow in the Dark nails!
