Every week I will bring you nail art! Thursdays used to be Fail Art Thursday, but hopefully I'll have less "fail" here! I'm going to do this series (for as long as I can), with nail art inspired by books! The covers of books specifically. I hope to be able to do this EVERY week - and I'm going to try my hardest to make this a weekly feature - there are SO many books I can utilize :)


Once again, I let my son choose the book - and he chose Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Hard Luck. I figure it's only a matter of time before I end up working my way through this entire set of books with this series, so I might as well get them over with haha! Today's design is super simple, tho. I wish I could have come up with something more challenging.


The colors I used, all of which were purchased by me, were Pure Ice Wild Thing and Super Star and WnW Black Creme. To make the '8' on my ring finger, I used the outline of one of the Vynails I was sent for review. I don't know it's it's supposed to be an '8' or not, but it just looks like it!


I placed the outline of the decal on my top of nail, and then I painted the black over it. When I removed the decal, it was there :)


I had to trim my nails because they were getting way too long, and then the next day one broke :( Seeing these nice, long, pretty nails makes me kind jealous for what I used to have!


So what do you guys think? I am really looking forward to what I can accomplish with this feature! Is there a book you'd like to see me attempt nail art inspired by? I'll gladly take suggestions! I can even get the book checked out from the library if need be ;)
