Jesse's Girl + Julie G's The Perfect Pairs - swatches, review + giveaway!

Can you believe it's been THREE YEARS since I started this blog!? I've not been an beauty blogger for all three of those long years, but nails were always a top priority from the start! Today, I kick-off my 3-year blogaversary celebration with a great giveaway (if I do say so myself) - the Jesse's Girl and Julie G Perfect Pairs! I snagged two sets when I found them a few days, and I just knew this would be a great way to start off my giveaways! I do have a lot of awesome giveaways planned over the next couple of weeks, so if this set isn't your cup of tea, odds are, I've got something coming up that is!

Let's start off with the reviews shall we? I will say a few things in general as blanket statements about this collection and Jesse's Girl lipsticks and Julie G polishes in general. I love them. I really do. All of the lipsticks I have from Jesse's Girl are top notch, and I get anywhere between 4-6 hours of wear, depending on what I'm doing. The polishes have a great formula, and I can wear them for days and days. Case in point, I wore Romeo for two full days before taking it off. And I only took it off because I had a nail art experiment - there were no chipping issues or anything like that.

Up first is Anthony & Cleopatra - a soft pink duo!
While this isn't exactly my wheelhouse, I do appreciate the colors and the sentiment. The polish is a light, airy pink, leaning a little lighter than I'd choose, but the lipstick ties it together. The lipstick is totally too light for my complexion. I would have to put a colored gloss or something like that over it to be able to wear it. I completely makes me look like I have no lips haha

The "middle" duo is Fred & Ginger - a bright pink duo!
This set is more like it for me! Altho, not quite my favorite color, it's richer and deeper than the previous duo. I'm not much of a fan of pinks in general, but when I do like pinks, they tend to be darker, richer, deeper - more closely associated with "Barbie pink" than "bubblegum pink." This is a duo classified more closely with "Barbie Pink" than its lighter counterpart.

The final duo is Romeo & Juliet - a coral duo!
If you know me at all, you'll know this duo is my favorite of the three hands down. As I mentioned before, I wore Romeo for two days. The color really compliments my skintone, and I truly like it. If I were to suggest one duo of this set to buy, it would be Romeo & Juliet. Not because they are favorite, but because they are definitely the outstanding pair! :)
