My nails were not always nice. Sometimes, they still aren't! haha But it's taken time, and a lot of patience to get where I am. And a lot of products :) I figured it was about time I shared with you guys my absolute favorite cuticle and hand care items - and I've broken this down into two posts for now... Balms and Oils. I will also be doing features on lotions/creams and scrubs! For now, tho, starting out with the balms is the logical choice, and these are the items I use most often - about 4-5 times per day.My favorite at the moment is cuticle balm sticks. The ones I have are from Rainbow Honey, and they are amazing! I have three scents right now - Summer Juice (press sample), Don't Gingersnap At Me and Worth the Truffle (both purchased with my own money). They are easily portable. I keep one in my purse, one by the bed and one by my side of the couch. They are twist-up, so you can get just the right amount of product out and not mash anything away :)
My nightly routine starts off with this stuff - Perfectly Posh The Cuticle Cutie. This was originally sent to me as a press sample from a friend who sells Perfectly Posh. I have since purchased my own pot if it. It smells like the lemon in lemon meringue pie. It's delicious! I slather this stuff on at least twice each night while we're sitting down to watch TV.
Another favorite is Sunny's Miracle Balm from 365 Days of Color. There are SO many scents to choose from! My favorites are Chocolate Covered Strawberries and Blueberry Cheesecake (I also have matching cuticle oil roller balls and hand creams! haha) I have purchased several of Sunny's products and will continue to do so!
Last but not least, is Burt's Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream. Don't let the name fool you, it's definitely a balm. This is the very first product I purchased to begin my cuticle care regimen. It was suggested to me by fellow polish lovers, and to this day is still a recommendation for anyone wanting to kick start a routine! It's easy to find (sold wherever Burt's Bees products are sold). I found mine at CVS.
Do you have a favorite cuticle balm? Is it a part of your daily routine?
