Teadora Rainforest at Dawn Nourishing Body Polish review

**press sample**
You all know I'm a HUGE fan of body, face and hand scrubs, so when I was given the opportunity to try out Teadora Body Polish I was, as you can guess, excited!

I received Rainforest at Dawn, and according to Teadora's site, its "unique blend of Brazilian ingredients removes dead skin, minimizes ingrown hair, smoothes and brightens skin. The naturally woodsy, floral scent awakens your senses for the day ahead."

And it's definitely a woody scent - it's not typically a scent I would try normally. To me, it kind of smells like dirt. There's definitely hints of citrus in the mix, but it overwhelmingly smells earthy to me. Teadora’s formula for the scrub includes "Antioxidant and vitamin-rich Buriti, Babassu, Brazil Nut, Rose Hip Seed and Passion Fruit oils, plus potent exfoliants such as Açaí Seeds and Amazonian Clay for brighter, healthier, smoother skin."

I can attest to the smoother skin! Despite my aversion to the smell, I use this scrub a lot. It works amazingly well. I've always had coarse scrubs before - those with large sugar pieces or rough sloughing material - but this is a fine, very unassuming scrub. I won't lie. I thought it wasn't doing its job. But after I used it, I realized I was wrong. My skin was so soft and smooth after I used this scrub! The scrub isn't abrasive at all - that's why I thought it wasn't working haha :) I noticed the effects of this scrub didn't go away right after my shower either. I had used it quite liberally on my arms and shoulders the first time I tried it... and my arms were smooth for the entire day!

Teadora is 100% vegan, and free of parabens, synthetic fragrance, silicone, gluten, phthalate, sulfates and other harsh chemicals. You can purchase from Teadora's website for $10 for 1.5 ozs, and $42 for 6 ozs. This is actually a tad out of my price range, but I'm all for spending a little extra money on a product that you know works! :)
