Every week I will bring you nail art! Thursdays used to be Fail Art Thursday, but hopefully I'll have less "fail" here! I'm going to do this series (for as long as I can), with nail art inspired by books! The covers of books specifically. I hope to be able to do this EVERY week - and I'm going to try my hardest to make this a weekly feature - there are SO many books I can utilize :)

I let my son pick the book this week, and he handed me a book that he had selected for me during his annual Bingo for Books at his school. It's from the My Sister the Vampire series, one called The Bat Pack. I am honestly very excited to read it. It's definitely on my list, but right now I'm reading The Maze Runner, so I'm kinda tied up haha! Anyway, he was determined that I use the greenish yellow of the series title (at the top), but that didn't happen! haha This one is kinda boring, actually.....


Polishes I used are all from Milani - Blue Zoom (which I purchased myself), and Peacock, Raspberry Delight and Purple Martin (all of which were sent for review).  For my pointer and pinky, I painted a coat of Blue Zoom and then carefully sponged Peacock over it to create the cloudy sky. I just used Raspberry Delight and Purple Martin to signify the girls' dresses on the cover. I thought about trying to incorporate the red carpet somehow, but I couldn't figure it out haha Once it was all said and done, I slapped on some VyNails (sent by Royal Lacquer for review) bats over the 'sky' and that added a little punch ;)


I should've taken a photo before I sponged on Peacock, but I completely spaced on it :) The finished product is kinda boring, but the colors look so nice together! Plus, those vinyls are too darn cute!


The bats really look like the bats on the cover! hahah I think I got the sky pretty close, too. The hardest part for me in these Inspired by a Book manis is choosing the colors! Do you think I'm close? hahaha


So what do you guys think? I am really looking forward to what I can accomplish by continuing this feature! Is there a book you'd like to see me attempt nail art inspired by? I'll gladly take suggestions! I can even get the book checked out from the library if need be ;)
