Zoya Island Fun Collection

It's almost summertime! You know what that means? A host of great cremes from Zoya! This is the Island Fun collection, and I gotta say - it's great! The colors are vivid, and the polishes have a great formula!

I've taken a lot of pictures of this collection. You'll notice four photos for each color - sunlight, shade, indoors with natural light and indoors with flash (in that order, as if you are reading a book). I've done this for several reasons. I want to provide a wide variety of lighting options for you to see how the polish looks.

Let's start with Demetria, a super pigmented orange-leaning red. So you know it's, like, my favorite, right? The formula is perfect, too - it's a one-coater. I seriously could wear this polish all the time. (and I think we have a front runner for my 2015 polish of the year...)

And Talia - once again, soooo pigmented! Great formula on this turquiose. If applied well, it would be a one-coater. Me, tho? I kinda smudged up one of my nails, so I needed to even out in 2 coats. I can totally see myself doing some nail art with this, Demetria and Cecilia in the future.

Ever since I wore Cecilia, I've been singing that old Simon & Garfunkel song (Oh Cecilia, you're breakin' my heart...). Except this Cecilia has never, and will never, break my heart. It's a gorgeous teal polish, and could be a one-coater if applied thickly enough. I used 2 thin coats for what's pictured.

Now Nana isn't exactly a color I'd wear all the time, but this deep fuchsia creme is a bit on the darker pink end of the spectrum. The formula was good, but did need 2 coats. Not that it was thin or anything, it just did.

Serenity is a very dense purple - I'm trying to find some word to describe the shade, but it's sort of periwinkle? Sort of thistle? But all purple. It's a really beautiful color, and, again, the formula is great! In all honesty, this whole collection has the trademark Zoya formula - fantastic.

And finally, there's Jace. Nothing against Jace, really. This tropical green creme has a very dramatic look to it - and it is unlike anything I've got in my collection. It's not a grass green, and it's not a mint. It's truly original. At least for me :)

Will you be picking any of them up? I'd suggest Demetria, Talia and Cecilia. You can order these as a set of 6 for $54 on the Zoya website or individually priced at $9.
