Every week I will bring you nail art! Thursdays used to be Fail Art Thursday, but hopefully I'll have less "fail" here! I'm going to do this series (for as long as I can), with nail art inspired by books! The covers of books specifically. I hope to be able to do this EVERY week - and I'm going to try my hardest to make this a weekly feature - there are SO many books I can utilize :)
Today's book is one of the Pretty Little Liars books - Ruthless. Off the top of my head, I cannot remember which number book this is in the series hahah I'll admit I didn't start reading the books until after the show started, and I've read a fair amount of the books, tho I've not read them all.
This one is painfully simple. I started with a base of Sally Girl Candy Coated, a bright blue jelly. The other polish I used was Pure Ice Wild Thing, an in-your-face chartreuse. I used a stamping plate - from where, I'm not sure. The image is all swirly circles.
Too simple? Too swirly? I dunno, I think I like the combo. I'm still wearing it this morning! I think the colors look great together. Maybe I could have tried to free hand the swirls.... but that would have been an epic failure. And after last week's ballet dancer fiasco, I needed a nice one :)
So what do you guys think? I am really looking forward to what I can accomplish by continuing this feature! Is there a book you'd like to see me attempt nail art inspired by? I'll gladly take suggestions! I can even get the book checked out from the library if need be ;)
