The second part of Zoya's summer releases is the Paradise Sun Collection! I was really taken with the Island Fun Collection, and I was hoping to be as much in love this second time around. The colors are vibrant and fun.
I've taken a lot of pictures of this collection. You'll notice four photos for each color - sunlight, shade, indoors with natural light and indoors with flash (in that order, as if you are reading a book). I've done this for several reasons. I want to provide a wide variety of lighting options for you to see how the polish looks.
Aphrodite: My favorite, of course! This orange-leaning red has a metallic finish and bursts of shimmer. This one went on easy and perfect in two coats.
Oceane: This polish is a great shimmery turquoise. It has that metallic sheen, and is really pretty. But it's a stainer. It's also a little on the thinner side, but that didn't interfere with the polish itself, really. I used 3 thin coats for this polish.
Selene: This one is like a green version of Oceane! Selene leans teal and shimmers just as much as Oceane. It's even the same right down to the formula: a little thin, needing 3 coats. And it stained, too.
Isa: This blurple is really nice! It tends to shift colors a lot, depending on lighting conditions. It's more blue here, more purple there. I used 2 coats, and had a tiny bit of staining with this one.
Mae: This bright pink has a great formula! Very easy to work with, and I needed 2 coats. This magenta shade has that metallic shimmer like the rest, and went on my nails like butter.
Genesis: This is the only one of the collection I can say I did not get along with. The formula was thick and hard to maneuver around the nail. It just doesn't seem to fit with the other shades, either. It's not bright and vibrant - tho it does have that metallic shimmer!
Will you be picking any of them up? I like Aphrodite from this collection, because you know me and oranges! You can order these as a set of 6 for $54 on the Zoya website or individually priced at $9.
