I'll admit that I really wasn't aware of makeup primer until a few years ago. My very first makeup primer was from Reviva Labs, and ever since, I've been hooked on silky primers. I have tried a few different primers, usually from sample packets I receive with orders from Too Faced or Ulta. I've had matte finish and creamy, shiny finish. I purchased this primer from Younique. It's called Glorious, and it is among the silky type.
The primer is clear, and it goes on very velvety and smooth. I use this primer with both BB creams that I use (Younique and Urban Decay), and it works well with both of them. I don't use foundation, as it always feels so heavy on my face. I figured out this weekend that it could be because of my glasses so near my cheeks. Anyway, I do really like this primer. It's lightweight and sticks in place once applied. My BB cream doesn't go anywhere - and yesterday I thought it might melt off. But, nope! My makeup stayed put all day and night. I didn't take it off until after midnight.
Ingredients: Isododecane: carrier for active ingredients, an emollient, and provides a natural aroma; Dimethicone: skin protectant, emollient, and contains conditioning properties; Polysilicone-11: film-former and viscosity builder; Coco-Caprylate/Caprate: an emollient derived from coconut oil that leaves the skin conditioned; Dimethyl Isosorbide: disperses active ingredients; Ascorbic Acid: contains vitamin C and nutrients, is an antioxidant, and neutralizes; Tocopheryl Acetate: an antioxidant, moisturizer, and emollient; Retinyl Palmitate: contains vitamin A, is an antioxidant and skin rejuvinator. Vitamins C, E and A work synergistically.
I'm not saying this is my Holy Grail primer. Odds are I'm going to continue to primer hop, but this one works really well, so I will use it up.
Younique is a direct sales company, and I know several people who sell the product. Odds are, you guys know people who sell it, too! Right now, the primer is on backorder, but it should be back in stock by the end of this week, I do have some of their trademark mascara, but I have not used mine. I had my friend put some, very light on the fibers, on me this weekend, and it wasn't all that bad!
