Favorite nail art of 2016

It's that time of year again - my favorites are here! haha This year was really tough. Not only on this blog, but personally. I had surgery and other personal issues that kept my focus away from blogging. I'm hoping to get back in the swing of things officially in 2017 - and bring you more make-up, nail swatches and art and all-around beauty posts! Who knows where 2017 might take me. Perhaps it will be the debut of make-up looks! Or perhaps I'm getting ahead of myself here haha! But let's look back on the 3 instances of nail art that I loved doing this year!

I really liked this Zoya nail art with PixieDusts.  I used a cosmetic sponge to dab the different polishes around my nails. It kind of came out a watercolor-ish feel. I miss my nails being this length too...

I didn't have many Inspired by a Book Manis this year :( I wish I had done more. I will definitely be better about that in 2017. I have so many books to choose from. This is one of the better ones I did in 2016, nail art based on the cover of Girl of Nightmares by Kendare Blake. If you've not read this book duo (see the first book of the duo below), and you're into YA Supernatural fiction, you should definitely check it out!

My favorite nail art I did in 2016 is right here - based on the cover of Anna Dressed in Blood by Kendare Blake. It's the first book in the Anna series (the one above is the 2nd book). This nail art just makes me smile. Of all the manis associated with this mani series, I think I might like this one the best. Do I say that every time I get one I like?

I am looking forward to what 2017 is going to bring. I hope you'll join me in the coming year!
