The one with Spoiled Jewelry Heist!
Glitter glitter glitter! Yes, Jewelry Heist is packed with glitter! It looks like brown, pink, copper...and multi-color? I mean, I see different colors in different lights. It's so packed it's hard to see what all the different glitters are :) It wasn't goopy or stringy or hard to use. Pictured is one coat of Spoiled Pumping Gas.
I took a few flash shots because I was trying to highlight all the glitter so you guys can see just how versatile it is! It would be awesome in a jelly sandwich :)

The one with Spoiled Pumping Gas!
Monday, January 30, 2012
So Wet n Wild has this new polish line floating around out there. It's called Spoiled and it doesn't fit in the display with the other WnW polishes. It has it's own display! I should have taken a picture of the display I ran across, but I was too excited to see all 72 colors in the collection that I wasn't thinking.
Today I have for you Pumping Gas, a greyed out brown. Formula is really nice on these polishes. But the brush? I don't like the way the brush looks, but it ended up being VERY functional for me. I've noticed when I use these polishes, I never have to do clean-up on my manis....apparently this is exactly the right brush I need! It's a flat paddle type brush, like what some of the Sally Hansen polishes have. But the thing is, I could never get the brush to work for me with other polishes. Pictured is two coats.
It just looks so smooth. And I have to note, no clean-up. That's such a plus! This brush is just shaped perfectly for my nails. I believe these polishes are a CVS exclusive, but maybe, just maybe, they will end up elsewhere as it expands! Today is the last day to enter my blogoversary giveaway!

The one with the Zoya Fleck collection!
Sunday, January 29, 2012
Flakies? From Zoya? yep! Today's post features the new Fleck collection from Zoya. I was never much a fan of flakies...until a few months ago. I got the FingerPaints flakies and I was hooked! So I knew the Zoya flakies would be good for me! Especially since one is named CHLOE! I already have the original Chloe! So we shall start with her...
Two coats of Chloe over WnW Black Creme, SinfulColors Out of This World and Zoya Chloe(1). I have dreamed of Chloe over Chloe! She does look best over black tho!
Two coats of Maisie over WnW Black Creme, SinfulColors Out of This World and Zoya Tallulah. Blue looks green! Is that even right!?
Two coats of Opal over WnW Black Creme, SinfulColors Out of This World and Zoya Holly. Green looks green. Yes, that's the way it should be!
Does Maisie really look green? Hmm I mean they are similar...I might have to inspect further :) Consistency and formula on these is comparable to other flakies, but they have a leg up because they are Zoya! They flowed a little easier and spread a little better because of that :) BTW, have you entered by blogoversary giveaway.
The Fleck collection is available for on Zoya's website right now. They retail for $8 per bottle or you can buy the full set of three polishes for $24.

The one with the Muppet glitters!
Friday, January 27, 2012
I totally suck at Franken Friday lately :( I'm sorry! I've had broken nails, no sun....but I shall do better next week! I hope to have sun this weekend so I can get some good pics - I DO have frankens and swatches! Plus, I received glamour base yesterday. That's the kind that suspends glitter :)
Anyway, so I thought I would show off my a manicure I did last Halloween - because I knew I wouldn't be able to do my nails much during November :) If you've been around my blog long long enough, you know I participate in NaNoWriMo - National Novel Writer's Month. If you want to know more about it, just ask me! I would love to share details :) I've just finished my third novel, and I need to get to editing...
So anyway, I knew I wouldn't be doing my nails a lot, so I skittled the Muppet glitters from OPI over one of the Muppet shimmers, Designer de Better. Trying to photograph all five fingers is a chore for me hahahah My hand won't hold right because of that pesky thing where I can't control my fingers! From thumb to pinky: Rainbow Connection, Gettin' Miss Piggy With It, Gone Gonzo, Fresh Frog of Bel Air and Excuse Moi.
I do have Rainbow Connection over the lovely Catrice I Sea You!
So there you have it! A boring Friday post. Sorry it's not much. BTW, have you entered by blogoversary giveaway?

The one with Fail Art Thursday!
Thursday, January 26, 2012
On Thursday, I'm going to try to start featuring nail art - and for right now, it's called Fail Art because I'm not good at it. If I get better at it (hahah) I might change the name....this is something I am really going to try! I had a lot of good suggestions on my FB page the other day, so I'm really going to branch out :) This will evolve every week (that I'm able to post).
I have received a set of dotting tools and some stamping items. Previously, all my nail art was done with toothpicks. I must admit, I have had one nail art win! It was donut nails. For today, I have a few fails I've had over the past few months.
This was a manicure I used for a family gathering, held outdoors back in October. Zoya Pippa, Zoya Jancyn and Pure Ice Superstar were used for the candy corn...then I topped it all with China Glaze Ghoulish Glow. The fail was the chipping and bubbling that happened....and how my lines are sort of jagged. I freehanded it all because I was scared of tape hahah
This was my first practice with dotting tools! Colors I used were OPI Jade is the New Black, Suzi Says Feng Shui, A Good Man-darin Is Hard to Find and Suzi Says Da! and Zoya Minka. You may not be able to tell it but on my middle finger is a mug of steaming coffee or cocoa. I don't think I had decided which it was haha My dots are all wonky and different sizes even tho I used the same size dotting tool for them all! Anyone have any tips on using dotting tools?
Stamping practice! It's over Julep Hayden. I wish I knew how it kept smudging :/ I go slow, clean between stampings....is it my stamp? Am I not pressing hard enough? I would love tips on this as well!
So how do you think my new series will go? I'm hoping I'm able to stick with it and do this every Thursda! BTW, have you entered by blogoversary giveaway.

The one with Dabble Sand!
Wednesday, January 25, 2012
Good morning! I have one more Dabble polish sent to me by Townley Distributing after I contacted them about an old nail polish I found in my stash. I am still a newbie to this brand. Has anyone seen them anywhere? Has anyone tried them? Today's post features Sand.
And yes, removal was a pain just like with Abstract. Otherwise, these polishes have a wonderful formula, and they go on smoothly. From what I can tell, there are only six polishes released by Dabble. I would not be adverse to trying others! Provided I can find them. BTW, have you entered by blogoversary giveaway?
You can purchase Dabble polish (there are 6 different shades) at select Bon Ton stores. The suggested retail price is $4.50. For more info, check out Dabble's website.

Dabble Nail Polish gives manicures a fresh, vibrant look of high shine and intense shimmer that lasts for days. Nail polish lacquer formula is pigment rich for high color pay-out. Dabble Nail Polish synthetic brush creates easy application for smooth, even color; giving a flawless look that resists chipping and peeling.Sand is a lovely, shimmery cool champagne shimmer. It kind of reminds me of a chocolate milkshake. Maybe that's just me? hahah And like it's counterpart, Abstract, the microglitter is soooooooo superfine. Formula is great, tho. Perfectly opaque in two coats.

The one with Dabble Abstract!
Tuesday, January 24, 2012
Remember when I shared my old nail polish with you guys? I still don't know where I bought it!! I contacted Townley Distributing, as they are listed on the polish cap, but they don't have any idea where I could have gotten it either. But in the midst of communicating with them and trying to figure it out, they offered to send me some samples of some of their newer products - namely some Dabble polish! I'd never heard of this brand before :)
Abstract is a dusty rose shimmer. LOTS of shimmer. LOTS of microshimmer. But they are right in their description. The formula was extremely easy to work with, and pictured is two coats.
My only issue with this polish is that removal was kind of a pain. The shimmer was so fine and packed that it was difficult to get it all removed without feeling like I had a glitter outbreak on my hands. I washed and washed and washed my hands haha Otherwise, this polish was good to work with :) BTW, have you entered by blogoversary giveaway?

The one with Essence Twins Bella+Edward
Monday, January 23, 2012
Ugh. I was sick pretty much all day Saturday and all day Sunday. I had planned to do some of the Zoya Fleck collection over the weekend, but that just didn't happen. Maybe one day later this week. What I do have for you today is one of the Essence Twins sets - Bella and Edward. I have renamed them Moody Girl and Needstoeatasandwich. Yeah, I'm not a Twilight fan.
Bella is a very pretty teal creme. She does look lovely on her own.
Pictured above is one coat of Bella. But who would Bella be without her sparkly companion? *groan* Yes, I said that. I went there. I even threw up in my mouth a little bit.
They really are a very pretty combo. I got all my Essence Twins from my dear friend Kati. I love them all! I just wanted to rename this set....and then I went to take the polish off.
Major stains! It took a little bit of buffing and scrubbing. This was with base coat. Two coats of base coat actually. BTW, have you entered by blogoversary giveaway.

The one with Zoya Farah!
Saturday, January 21, 2012
Happy Saturday! Today I bring you the final polish in the new Zoya True collection - Farah! I must say, I really LOVE this entire collection. Even the neutrals are creamy and opaque with good formula. Zoya's website describes Farah as "an opaque light khaki-beige with subtle sandy, greenish undertones and a cream finish.? An always appropriate neutral to add to your polish wardrobe."
Definitely khaki. That was my first thought when I put the polish on. I keep thinking I have a pair of pants that match this color exactly :) Two coats to opaque with Zoya's amazing formula!
Pants right? Hope I'm not the only one who has a pair of pants this color! hahaha BTW, have you entered by blogoversary giveaway.
The True collection is available for on Zoya's website right now. They retail for $8 per bottle or you can buy the full set of six polishes for $48.
