I posted a while back about some new core shades coming to the Julie G line, I LOVED the one I previously posted (It was orange, right??), and I've got another for you today!!! This is #nailsoftheday (yes, hashtag and all), and it's a deep dark burgundy with goldish shimmer.

Every week I will bring you nail art! Thursdays used to be Fail Art Thursday, but hopefully I'll have less "fail" here! I'm going to do this series (for as long as I can), with nail art inspired by books! The covers of books specifically. I hope to be able to do this EVERY week - and I'm going to try my hardest to make this a weekly feature - there are SO many books I can utilize :)

Huntington's Disease. Unless you're affected by it, you generally don't even know it exists. This hereditary genetic disorder runs in my family, and I have watched my grandmother and 3 aunts (and now a few cousins) suffer from this disease. There is a genetic test to determine whether or not someone has the disease, but there is no cure.

I was SO EXCITED when I finally found this palette at Rite Aid! It's one of the limited edition Wet n Wild Silver Lake palettes. I knew, at once, that I had to have it - it's called California Roll! Sushi is one of my favorite things, so this palette just screamed at me! :)

It's almost summertime! You know what that means? A host of great cremes from Zoya! This is the Island Fun collection, and I gotta say - it's great! The colors are vivid, and the polishes have a great formula!

So one thing you guys might not know about me is that in college I subsisted on Kiwi Strawberry Snapple and Tori Amos. While I don't particularly care for the Snapple anymore, I still have a love for Tori Amos! So when Lollipop Posse Lacquer put out a collection of polishes with the names of Tori Amos songs, I got excited! Welcome the Dancing Girl collection! And I've got 2 polishes from this collection to show you - Somebody Leave The Light On and Comatose State.

I really like eye shadow pencils - especially when I'm traveling. So when I was given the opportunity to try these NYC City Proof 24-Hour Waterproof Eyeshadow Pencils, I jumped on it! Pencils are easy to use, travel well and come in a variety of colors! The 2 I have for you today are in the darker end of the spectrum - a brown called Tribeca Taupe, and a gunmetal grey called Empire State Building.

The FingerPaints Tie Dye Revolution Collection is a bright, fun set of colors that usher in summertime fun! The bright hues are joined by a previously released white shade, Paper Mache, for the display. I think this collection would be cool watermarbled, or a great way to experiment with the needle drag technique!

I'm late posting about the April Rainbow Honey Mystery Bag, but better late than never? Truth be told, I'm so enamored with this bag! The lip scrub and the lip balm are amazing!

I have great friends. Not only are they always there for me and listen to my rants, they give me stuff! This OPI collection, the Hawaii Collection, was sent to me by my friend Lisa! I've had this collection photographed for a while now, but with Camp NaNoWriMo last month, I got behind on cropping and watermarking photos. But it's all good because it's here now!

In my recent Influenster VoxBox, I received this Simple Cleansing Micellar Water. I had never heard of micellar water before. I had to do some reading about it, and I came across this article that explains it a little. Micellar water originated in France in the 1990s as a no-rinse, soap-free way to cleanse the skin.

As I get older, I sometimes lose patience with things - and liquid liners were the first to go for me. I've tried several different kinds, and the latest on my list is the Jordana Cat Eye Liners. It's not that I don't like liquid liners, I just have trouble controlling them. So it's a total me issue, and has nothing to do with liquid liners in general :)
